Sounds + adaptive
A catalog tuned for the night you're having.
258 tracks across sleep, nature, frequencies, neurodivergent, and affirmations. An adaptive layer listens to your heart rate and reshapes the mix from sleep onset through REM.
Core free. No accounts. No third-party tracking.
A research-backed sleep companion. 258 sounds, custom AI affirmations in a voice you choose, a smart alarm that aims to wake you in light sleep when wearable data is available.
What Aviana does
Sounds tuned to the sleep stage you're in, on-demand affirmations spoken in the voice you pick, and an alarm that waits for the right moment to wake you. All free. No account.
Sounds + adaptive
258 tracks across sleep, nature, frequencies, neurodivergent, and affirmations. An adaptive layer listens to your heart rate and reshapes the mix from sleep onset through REM.
Custom AI affirmations
Type a prompt — "calm before tomorrow's interview", "let go of today" — and Aviana generates a 60–120 second affirmation in a voice you choose. First two affirmations free per device; your prompt is never stored.
Smart alarm
Set your latest acceptable wake time. When wearable data is available, Aviana aims for a light-sleep moment in the window and tries to avoid waking you mid-deep or mid-REM.
258 sounds, five categories
Every track is either a curated field recording or DSP-generated to a specific psycho-acoustic target. Many are informed by published research. Tap a tile to hear ten seconds.
Pads, drones, singing bowls, heartbeat — onset to deep.
Rain, ocean, wind, forest — curated field recordings.
Pink noise phase-locked to slow waves, binaural beats, solfeggio.
Low-sensory, non-triggering soundscapes for ADHD, autism, misophonia.
30 curated + unlimited AI-generated — let go, accept, rest.
Custom AI affirmations
Type a prompt — calm before a meeting, letting go of today, falling back asleep. Aviana generates a 60–120 second affirmation in a voice you choose. First two free per device. The prompt is held only in memory, never stored.
A prompt the size of a thought
Your prompt is sent to the AI, hashed for a cache key, then dropped. The audio is kept. The text is not.
Tap to hear each voice
Voice selection respects research that lower-pitched, slowly-paced narration most effectively activates the parasympathetic relaxation response.
Adaptive layer
Heart rate falls. HRV widens. Sleep stages cycle. Aviana watches the stream and adjusts the density, spectral rolloff, and pulse-sync of the soundscape in real time — denser at onset, sparser through deep sleep, gentle landings near morning.
With a connected wearable — Apple Watch, Whoop, Oura, Polar, Coros, or Suunto — the adaptation follows your actual stream. Without one, the curve runs on the clock. Either way the catalog plays.
Smart alarm
Set a latest acceptable wake time. When wearable data is available, Aviana aims for a light-sleep moment in your window and tries to avoid waking you mid-deep or mid-REM. Wearable stage detection isn't perfect, so this improves the odds — it doesn't guarantee them.
Bring your wearable
Apple Watch directly. Whoop, Oura, Polar, Coros, Suunto via Terra. Apple Health and Android Health Connect cover anything else your device exposes.
The adaptive layer becomes real-time when any of these are connected. Without one, the curve runs on the clock — and your selected sound still plays.
Privacy by design
Aviana is account-free and ad-free. Audio plays from your device, your prompts are never stored, and health data is opt-in. We do send our own anonymous usage events (no PII, 90-day retention) so we can fix what breaks — that's it.
Backed by 47+ peer-reviewed studies
Every track in the catalog has a research card — a one-line summary of what evidence says it does, and a link to the underlying paper. Here are three the catalog leans on.
Pink-noise bursts phase-locked to slow oscillations enhanced slow-wave activity and overnight memory consolidation in older adults.
Papalambros NA et al. Frontiers in Human Neuroscience 11:109. ↗Systematic review (k=12 RCTs) of self-affirmation interventions reports consistent small-to-moderate improvements in subjective sleep quality.
Hall TA et al. Behavioural Sleep Medicine, 22(4). ↗Computational model demonstrates how acoustic envelopes that match slow-oscillation rhythm enhance the K-complex–spindle cascade central to NREM-3.

Core sleep sounds are free. The smart alarm, sleep tracking, saved mixes, offline mode, and bedtime reminders are free. The first two custom AI affirmations per device are free; further generations will eventually be part of a paid tier (timing not set). No ads. No third-party trackers in either the app or this marketing site. We do collect anonymous usage events on our own server (no PII, retained 90 days) so we can fix what breaks.
No. Aviana does not require sign-up, email, or password. The app generates an anonymous device identifier the first time it runs and uses that to scope your saved mixes, settings, and affirmation history. Reinstalling the app generates a new identifier, so previously generated custom affirmations will not be visible after a reinstall today; we are adding cross-device persistence in a future update.
No. The adaptive sound layer and the smart alarm are better when they can read your heart rate, sleep stages, and HRV — but every health integration is opt-in. You can use Aviana as a pure sound + AI affirmations app without granting any health permissions, and the catalog plays exactly the same.
Aviana is in pre-launch on both stores. While we finish review, the full app is available as a Progressive Web App at app.aviana.life — it works on iPhone, Android, iPad, Mac, and PC, supports offline mode, background audio, and Apple Health / Health Connect on supported browsers. Subscribe via the 'get notified' link below to be told the moment the App Store and Play Store builds are live.
No. The prompt you type lives in memory only for the duration of the request. We use it to query the AI, hash it for a cache key (so re-asking the same prompt re-serves the same audio without re-billing), and then drop it. The generated audio file is kept on our CDN so you can replay it; the prompt that produced it is not.
Yes. Aviana has a built-in offline mode. From Settings → Offline access you can download the full sound catalog (about 500 MB total) or specific tracks. Once cached, audio plays without any network. Custom AI affirmations require network at generation time, but once generated they play offline too.
Partially. Without a wearable, Aviana still varies texture across the night on a schedule — denser at sleep onset, sparser through what should be deep sleep, gentle landings near morning. With a connected wearable (Apple Watch, Whoop, Oura, Polar, Coros, Suunto) the adaptation is real-time: density follows your actual heart rate and detected stage rather than the clock.
Apple Watch directly via WatchConnectivity. Whoop, Oura, Polar, Coros, Suunto via Terra, the wearable-API aggregator we route through. Apple Health and Android Health Connect cover any sleep-stage data the device's OS exposes — so if your wearable already writes to those sources, Aviana sees it without a separate integration.
